Merhaba! Ben Gri. Bugün Present Continuous'ı tekrar edeceğiz. Bu, şu anda olan şeyleri anlatmanın yoludur: I am playing, she is running, they are jumping. Hadi oyun alanına gidelim!

Present Continuous Nedir? (What is Present Continuous?)

Şu anda, tam bu dakikada olan şeyleri anlatmak için Present Continuous (Şimdiki Zaman) kullanırız. Oyun alanında herkes bir şey yapıyor:

"The children are playing."Çocuklar oynuyor. (şimdi)
"He is climbing the ladder."Merdivene tırmanıyor.
"She is swinging."Salıncakta sallanıyor.
"They are running."Koşuyorlar.
"I am jumping."Zıplıyorum.

Kalıp çok kolay: am / is / are + fiil + -ing. Türkçedeki "-yor" ekinin işini bu yapar!

Dikkat!

I ile → am. he / she / it ile → is. you / we / they ile → are.
Bir işaret ara: now (şimdi), Look! (Bak!). Bunlar Present Continuous'un habercisidir.

1. am / is / are + fiil-ing (be + -ing)

Önce doğru yardımcı fiili (am / is / are) seç, sonra fiile -ing ekle:

Kolay yol

Kısaca: I'm playing · She's sliding · They're running. (am/is/are'in kısası.)
Yardımcı fiili unutma! "She is playing" ✓ (She playing ✗).

2. Olumsuz: not (Negative)

Bir şeyin olmadığını söylemek için am / is / are'den sonra not koyarız:

Not

isn't = is not, aren't = are not. Fiil yine -ing kalır: "He isn't running" ✓.

3. Soru: Is/Are ...? & What ... doing? (Questions)

Soru sormak için Is ya da Are'i cümlenin başına alırız:

You are climbing. → Are you climbing?Tırmanıyorsun. → Tırmanıyor musun?
She is swinging. → Is she swinging?Sallanıyor. → Sallanıyor mu?

Ne yapıyor? diye sormak için What ... doing? kullanırız:

Dikkat!

Kısa cevap: Yes, I am. / No, she isn't. / Yes, they are.

4. -ing Nasıl Yazılır? (-ing Spelling)

Çoğu fiile sadece -ing ekleriz. Ama iki küçük kural daha var:

Normal: +ing	play, jump, climb	playing, jumping, climbing
Sonda e varsa: e düşer	slide, ride, make	sliding, riding, making
Kısa fiil: son harf çift olur	run, swim, sit	running, swimming, sitting

Not

run → running (n çift olur), slide → sliding (e düşer), swing → swinging (normal).

İki çocuk oyun alanında konuşuyor. Koyu yazılan kelimelere dikkat et ve iki kez oku:

Present Continuous kullan: am / is / are + fiil-ing (is playing, are running).
En az bir is ve bir are cümlesi kur, bir de kendin için I am ... de.

Cümle başlatıcıları (istersen bunlarla başla):

"I am ..." "He is ..." "She is ..." "They are ..." "We are ..."

Fun at the Playground

It is a sunny day. It is Saturday, so the children are not at school today. Ela and her friends are at the playground. They are having a lot of fun. Everyone is doing something!

The playground is next to a green park. There are tall trees and soft grass. There are swings, a big slide, a ladder, and a sandbox. Many families are here today. The mothers and fathers are sitting on the benches. They are watching the children and talking.

Look at the swings! Ela is swinging. She is going up and down. Her friend Can is next to her. He is not swinging now. He is climbing the ladder. Can wants to go on the big slide.

Under the slide, a small girl named Zeynep is drawing with chalk. She is making a big yellow sun on the ground. Next to her, a boy is eating an apple. He is watching his friends and smiling. Everyone is busy and happy in the warm sun.

Two boys, Deniz and Toprak, are running. They are playing a game of tag. They are running very fast. A little dog is running with them too. The dog is barking and jumping. It is happy.

The little dog runs after the two boys. It is a brown dog with a red collar. It is barking loudly: woof, woof! Then it jumps up and down. The boys laugh and run faster. The dog is playing the game too, and it is very happy.

Near the tree, some girls are jumping. They are counting: one, two, three! Mavi is not jumping. She is sliding down the big slide, and she is laughing.

The girls near the tree are having fun with their game. They jump and they clap their hands. One, two, three, jump! But Mavi does not want to jump today. She likes the big slide more. She is sliding down again and again, and she is laughing.

On the other side of the playground, there is an ice cream man. Some children are buying ice cream from him. A baby is sitting in a pushchair and clapping her small hands. The birds are singing in the tall trees. Their mothers wave and smile at them from the benches. It is a perfect day to play outside, and nobody wants to go home yet.

"Come here!" Ela says. "We are playing a new game." Now all the children are playing together. The sun is going down, and it is time to go home. The children are tired, but they are smiling. "Tomorrow we are coming again!" they say.

It is a beautiful sunny day, with no rain and no wind. The children are playing, running, and laughing together. Nobody is sad, and nobody is angry. When the sun goes down, everyone is a little tired. "What a fun day!" says Ela. "Let's come back tomorrow!"
