Bu ünitede iki şey öğreniyoruz. Birincisi gösterme kelimeleri (this/that/these/those): bir nesneyi işaret ederiz. İkincisi emir cümleleri (imperatives): birine ne yapacağını söyleriz:
- This is my pen.Bu benim kalemim. (yakın nesne)
- Those are birds.Şunlar kuşlar. (uzak nesneler)
- Sit down, please. Don't run.Otur, lütfen. Koşma. (emir)
- Yakın nesne → this (tekil), these (çoğul). Uzak nesne → that (tekil), those (çoğul).
- Emir cümlesi fiille başlar, özne yok: Open your book. Sit down.
- Olumsuz emir için başa Don't koy: Don't run.
1. this / that (Yakın / Uzak — Tekil)
Bir nesneyi gösterirken uzaklığa bakarız. Yakınsa this (bu), uzaksa that (şu/o):

- Nesne elimin yanında ise → this. Uzakta ise → that.
- this ve that tek nesne için: this pen, that dog.
2. these / those (Yakın / Uzak — Çoğul)
Çok nesneyi gösterirken çoğul kullanırız. Yakınsa these (bunlar), uzaksa those (şunlar):

- Çoğul isimde -s vardır: these pens, those books.
- this → these, that → those. Sadece çoğula döndür!
3. is / are (Tekil / Çoğul Cümle)
this ve that ile is, these ve those ile are kullanırız. Tek nesne → is, çok nesne → are:

- this / that → is. these / those → are.
- "These is pens" ✗ → "These are pens" ✓.
4. Imperatives (Emir: Fiille Başla)
Birine bir şey yaptırmak için emir cümlesi kullanırız. Cümle fiille başlar — özne (you) yazmayız:

- Emir cümlesi fiille başlar: Open, Sit, Close, Look.
- Kibar olmak için sona please ekle: "Close the door, please."
5. Don't ... (Olumsuz Emir)
Birine bir şeyi yapma demek için emrin başına Don't koyarız:

- Yakın tek → this, uzak tek → that. Yakın çoğul → these, uzak çoğul → those. Emir fiille başlar; "yapma" için başa Don't koy.
6. In the Classroom (Mini Diyalog)
Öğretmen ve çocuklar sınıfta konuşuyor. Koyu kelimelere dikkat et ve iki kez oku:
- — Sit down, please. Open your books.— Oturun, lütfen. Kitaplarınızı açın. (emir)
- — What is this? — This is a pen. And that is a book.— Bu ne? — Bu bir kalem. Ve şu bir kitap.
- — These are my pencils. Those are the books on the shelf.— Bunlar benim kalemlerim. Şunlar raftaki kitaplar.
- — Don't run! Don't talk. Listen to me, please.— Koşma! Konuşma. Beni dinle, lütfen.
- "These is pens" ✗ → "These are pens" ✓ (çoğulda are).
- "You sit down" ✗ → "Sit down" ✓ (emirde özne yok).
- "No run" ✗ → "Don't run" ✓ (olumsuz emir).

Okurken gösterme kelimelerini ve emirleri bul. Bunlar sana hangi nesnenin yakın/uzak olduğunu ve ne yapılacağını söyler:

- Metin bir sınıfı anlatıyor. Yakın nesne → this/these, uzak nesne → that/those.
- Önce hızlıca oku, sonra soruların cevaplarını metinde ara. Cevaplar hep metnin içindedir.
Hello! I am Lisa. I am seven. This is my classroom. It is big and clean. Look at this! This is my desk, and that is the teacher's desk. These are my pens and pencils. Those are the books on the shelf.
Look around my classroom! This is my pencil case and that is the big board on the wall. These are my crayons on my desk. Those are the coats near the door. This is my water bottle and that is the clock. I know all the things in my class!
This is my best friend, Sam. He sits with me. Look! These are our bags. They are red and blue. That is the big window. Those are the green plants near the window. This is my chair, and that is Sam's chair. I like this room.
Sam is a kind boy and he helps me every day. This is his book and that is his red pen. These are our two chairs. We sit together and we share our things. This is my lunch box and that is Sam's lunch box. I am happy because Sam is my best friend.
Come and look at my classroom with me! This is my desk and this is my chair. That is the teacher's big desk near the board. These are my pens and these are my colour pencils. Those are the pictures on the wall, and those are the plants near the window. This is a map of the world, and that is a clock above the door. I love my class because it is bright and clean. Everything has a special place here.
My teacher is Mr. Ade. Every morning he says, "Good morning, children. Sit down, please. Open your books." We open our books. "Don't talk. Listen to me," he says. We listen to Mr. Ade.
Our teacher is very kind. Every morning he says, 'Good morning! Open your books and read with me.' We read together. Then he says, 'Close your books. Look at the board.' We look and we learn new words. 'Be quiet and listen,' he says. We are good children in class.
Then we play a game. "Stand up! Touch your nose. Don't run!" he says. It is fun. Sam is fast, but he does not run. We laugh and clap.
We love games in our classroom. The teacher says, 'Stand up! Clap your hands. Touch your ears.' We follow him and we laugh. 'Now sit down and take your pens,' he says. Sam is quick, but he walks and he does not run. Games make our class fun and happy.
