Bir yere gitmek için taşıt kullanırız. Neredeyse tüm taşıtlarla by deriz: by bus, by car, by train. Ama yürüyorsan farklı: on foot (I walk). İki yol var:
- I go to school by bus.Okula otobüsle giderim. (taşıt = by)
- Tom goes to school on foot.Tom okula yürüyerek gider. (yürümek = on foot)
- How do you go to school?Okula nasıl gidersin?
- Taşıtla gidiyorsan → by kullan: by bus, by car, by bike.
- Yürüyorsan → on foot (= I walk). Burada by yok!
1. Taşıtlar (Transport Words)
Bir yerden bir yere gitmek için taşıt kullanırız. İşte en sık kullandığımız taşıtlar:

- Kara taşıtları: bus, car, bike, train.
- Gökyüzü: plane (uçak). Su: boat (gemi).
- Yürümek taşıt değil → on foot (I walk).
2. by + taşıt (by bus, by car)
Bir taşıtla gittiğimizi söylerken by + taşıt deriz. Araya the ya da a koymayız:

- Taşıt → by + taşıt: I go by bus (❌ by the bus).
- Yürümek → on foot (❌ by foot). Ya da: I walk.
3. How do you go...? (Nasıl gidersin?)
Birine nasıl gittiğini sormak için How do you go...? deriz. Cevap verirken I go by... ile başlarız:

4. can + go (Gidebilirim)
Bir taşıtla gidebildiğimizi söylemek için can + go deriz. can'den sonra fiil hep yalın kalır (go, ride):

- can + go: I can go by bus. (❌ can goes)
- Olumsuz: can't go → We can't go by boat here.
- Soru: Can you go...? → Can you go by bike?
5. Sık Yapılan Hatalar (Doğru ✓ / Yanlış ✗)
Taşıt cümlelerinde küçük hatalar kolaydır. Doğru biçimi seç:

- Taşıt → by bus (araya the/a yok). Yürümek → on foot.
6. Going to School (Mini Diyalog)
İki çocuk okula nasıl gittiklerini konuşuyor. Koyu kelimelere dikkat et ve iki kez oku:
- — How do you go to school? — I go by bus.— Okula nasıl gidersin? — Otobüsle giderim.
- — How does Leo go? — He goes by bike.— Leo nasıl gider? — Bisikletle gider.
- — Do you go on foot? — No, my house is far.— Yürüyerek mi gidersin? — Hayır, evim uzak.
- — Can we go by plane? — No, we can't! It's too near.— Uçakla gidebilir miyiz? — Hayır, gidemeyiz! Çok yakın.
- "by the bus" ✗ → "by bus" ✓ (araya the yok).
- "by foot" ✗ → "on foot" ✓ (yürümek = on foot).
- "She go by car" ✗ → "She goes by car" ✓ (he/she → goes).

Hello! I am Mia. Every morning I go to school. How do I go? I go by bus. The bus is big and yellow. My friend Leo goes by bike. He can ride his bike very fast!
I wake up early every morning. At half past seven, I am ready. My mum gives me my bag and my lunch. Then I go to the bus stop at the end of my street. Two other children wait there too. When the big yellow bus comes, we are very happy.
Some children go by car. Ana goes to school by car with her dad. The car is small and red. Tom lives near the school, so he goes on foot. He walks with his mum every day.
On the bus, I sit next to the window. I can see the shops, the trees, and the park. The driver is kind. His name is Mr. Ali, and he always says "Good morning!" The ride is short and fun. I like the bus because I can talk with my friends.
My teacher, Mr. Kaya, goes by train. The train is long and fast. He says, "I can read a book on the train!" It is his favourite way to go to work.
The train station is near the teacher's home. Every day the train comes at eight o'clock. On the train, Mr. Kaya sits and reads. Sometimes he reads a story, and sometimes he reads the news. The station is close to our school, so the train is perfect for him.
In my class, we talk about transport. "How do you go to school?" asks the teacher. "I go by bus," I say. "I go by bike," says Leo. "I walk. I go on foot," says Tom. We all like our morning trips.
Can we go to school by plane? No, we can't! A plane is for long trips. Can we go by boat? Only if we live near the sea! I like my yellow bus. It is a fun way to go to school. How do you go every day?
Different children come to school in different ways, and that is fun. Some children live far away, and some children live very near. Ana's dad drives her in the small red car. Leo rides fast on his bike and rings his bell: ring, ring! Tom walks and looks at the birds. We all arrive with a smile.
My baby sister is too small for school. She stays at home with my grandma every day. One day she will come with me on the big yellow bus. She will love it very much! Until then, I tell her all about my bus every evening before bed.
At the end of the day, we go home again. I take the yellow bus, and I wave to my friends. "See you tomorrow!" I say. Buses, bikes, cars, and trains: there are so many ways to travel. But my favourite way is always my big yellow bus.
