Hayat koşullarla doludur: "Eğer yarın hava güzel olursa, pikniğe gideriz." We use the First Conditional to talk about a real or possible situation in the future and its result. Yani gelecekte gerçekleşmesi mümkün bir koşul ve o koşul gerçekleşirse ne olacağını anlatır. Bu, hayal değil; gerçekten olabilecek bir şeydir.
Dikkat et: iki bölüm var. Biri koşul (if + Present Simple), diğeri sonuç (will + fiil). Bu bölümde bu yapıyı, virgül kuralını, won't ile olumsuz sonucu ve unless bağlacını adım adım öğreneceğiz.
First Conditional iki cümlecikten oluşur. The if-clause (koşul) uses the Present Simple, and the main clause (sonuç) uses will + base verb. Türkçedeki "-irse ... -ir/-ecek" kalıbına çok benzer.

İki cümleciğin sırasını değiştirebilirsin; anlam aynı kalır. But the punctuation changes. When the if-clause comes first, we put a comma. When the main clause comes first, we do NOT use a comma.

Sonuç bölümünü olumsuz yapmak için will not = won't kullanırız. Koşulu olumsuz yapmak istersen, if-clause içinde don't / doesn't kullanırsın (çünkü orası Present Simple'dır).

unless, "eğer ... -mazsa / -medikçe" demektir. It means the same as if ... not. unless kullandığında, arkasından gelen fiil olumludur — çünkü olumsuzluk zaten "unless" kelimesinin içindedir.

İki koşul cümlesini karıştırmak kolaydır. Zero Conditional her zaman doğru olan gerçekleri anlatır (if + Present, ... Present). First Conditional ise gelecekteki olası bir durumu ve sonucunu anlatır (if + Present, ... will).

On Saturday, Class 4B will play in the final football match of the school cup. It is the biggest game of the year, and the whole school is excited. If the team wins, they will get a big gold cup. If they lose, they will still be proud, because they have worked very hard all season.
The captain is Deniz. She has made a careful plan for the match. "If we pass the ball quickly, we will confuse the other team," she says. "But if we run too much at the start, we will get tired, so we must save our energy for the end." Her plan depends on good teamwork.
Ali is the goalkeeper, and he is a little nervous. "If the other team scores first, we will not panic," he tells himself. "I will only succeed if I watch the ball all the time." His coach has warned him about one thing: "Unless you keep your eyes open, a fast player will score." So Ali promises to stay careful.
Merve is the fastest runner on the team. "If Deniz passes to me, I will run to the goal," she says. "And if I get a good chance, I will shoot!" But Merve also knows the rules. "If I push another player, the referee will give a free kick to them, so I must play fairly."
Their coach, Mr. Kaya, gives them one last talk. "Listen carefully," he says. "A match is like a puzzle. If you stay calm, you will always find a solution. Unless you help each other, one player cannot win alone. Football is a team game." The children nod and feel braver.
On Saturday morning, the sky is grey. "If it rains, the ground will be slippery," warns Deniz, "so we must be careful when we run." The team decides to wear their old shoes with the best grip. A good plan depends on small details like this.
The match begins, and the other team is strong. After ten minutes, they score a goal. Ali is sad, but he remembers the coach's words. "If we keep trying, we will get a chance," he shouts to the others. The team stays calm and does not give up.
Then, in the second half, Deniz passes the ball to Merve. Merve runs fast and shoots. Goal! Now the score is one-one. "If we score one more, we will win the cup!" the crowd shouts. The children play harder than ever, but they also remember to save a little energy for the last minutes.
In the final minute, Ali makes an amazing save and stops a dangerous ball. The whole school claps. When the referee blows the whistle, the score is still one-one, so the two teams will share the cup this year. "If we practise more next season," says Deniz, "we will win it alone."
The team is not sad at all. They have played fairly, they have helped each other, and they have never given up. "A cup is nice," says Mr. Kaya with a smile, "but a good team is the real prize. If you keep this spirit, you will succeed in everything." That night, every child in Class 4B falls asleep dreaming of the next big match.
