Hayat koşullarla doludur: "Eğer yarın hava güzel olursa, pikniğe gideriz." We use the First Conditional to talk about a real or possible situation in the future and its result. Yani gelecekte gerçekleşmesi mümkün bir koşul ve o koşul gerçekleşirse ne olacağını anlatır. Bu, hayal değil; gerçekten olabilecek bir şeydir.
Dikkat et: iki bölüm var. Biri koşul (if + Present Simple), diğeri sonuç (will + fiil). Bu bölümde bu yapıyı, virgül kuralını, won't ile olumsuz sonucu ve unless bağlacını adım adım öğreneceğiz.
First Conditional iki cümlecikten oluşur. The if-clause (koşul) uses the Present Simple, and the main clause (sonuç) uses will + base verb. Türkçedeki "-irse ... -ir/-ecek" kalıbına çok benzer.

İki cümleciğin sırasını değiştirebilirsin; anlam aynı kalır. But the punctuation changes. When the if-clause comes first, we put a comma. When the main clause comes first, we do NOT use a comma.

Sonuç bölümünü olumsuz yapmak için will not = won't kullanırız. Koşulu olumsuz yapmak istersen, if-clause içinde don't / doesn't kullanırsın (çünkü orası Present Simple'dır).

unless, "eğer ... -mazsa / -medikçe" demektir. It means the same as if ... not. unless kullandığında, arkasından gelen fiil olumludur — çünkü olumsuzluk zaten "unless" kelimesinin içindedir.

İki koşul cümlesini karıştırmak kolaydır. Zero Conditional her zaman doğru olan gerçekleri anlatır (if + Present, ... Present). First Conditional ise gelecekteki olası bir durumu ve sonucunu anlatır (if + Present, ... will).

Every spring, the school fair is the most exciting day of the year at Green Park School. Families come, children sell their crafts, and everybody plays games together in the big hall. If the day goes well, the whole school will talk about it for weeks. The children of Class 4B want to be ready early, because they know one thing: if they plan carefully now, they will not have problems later.
Next month, Class 4B will have a big school fair, and the whole class has a plan. Miss Selin, their teacher, talked to them on Monday. 'This is important,' she said. 'If we work together, we will finish on time.'
The plan has three steps. First, the art group will make the crafts and games. If the crafts are ready by Friday, the others will set up the game tables. But if there is a problem with the paint and paper, the games will not be ready, so everybody must be careful and check the boxes.
The art group is very happy about this job. 'If we get enough coloured paper, we will make a bright sign for every game,' they say. They also know that good teamwork helps: if one child feels tired, another will take over. Nobody will rush, because if they hurry too much, they will make mistakes.
Second, Merve will talk to the head teacher about the big hall. 'If the head teacher likes our idea, we will use the hall next week,' she explained. 'Unless she changes her mind, we will start setting up in May.'
Third, Ali will look after the money. 'If we spend too much on the paint and paper, we will not have enough for marketing,' he warned. 'We will only succeed if we save a little on everything. Our fair depends on good planning.'
Ali keeps all the numbers in a small green notebook. Every evening he checks it and thinks about the fair. 'If we buy only what we need, we will have money for the posters,' he says quietly. 'And if we are careful, our plan will work.' The other children trust him, because he never forgets a single coin.
Miss Selin listened to all three plans and nodded. 'If each group does its part, the whole class will succeed,' she told them. 'But unless we help each other, the work will feel very hard.' She reminded everyone to stay calm.
At the end of the talk, Miss Selin smiled. 'I know this is hard,' she said. 'But if we stay calm and help each other, we will find a solution for every problem. Unless something goes very wrong, the fair will be great.' The class felt ready, and everyone went back to work with a clear goal.
That night, everyone in Class 4B felt excited. They made a long list of small jobs and shared them fairly. If each child does one job, the big job will feel easy. And unless they forget to help each other, the visitors will have a lovely time. Class 4B could not wait for the big day.
