Present Simple, her zaman tekrar eden rutinleri, alışkanlıkları ve genel gerçekleri anlatır. Present Continuous ise tam şu an olan eylemi anlatır. Aynı gün, iki farklı zaman:
- I usually study at night, but right now I am watching a series.Genelde geceleri ders çalışırım, ama tam şu an bir dizi izliyorum.
- She plays tennis on Sundays.O pazarları tenis oynar. (rutin)
- Look! He is running in the park right now.Bak! O tam şu an parkta koşuyor.
- Her gün / genelde tekrar eden şey → Present Simple (base fiil, he/she/it için -s).
- Tam şu an olan şey → Present Continuous (am/is/are + fiil-ing).
1. Present Simple: Rutin ve Alışkanlık (routine / habit)
Rutin ve alışkanlıklar için Present Simple kullanırız. Fiil çıplak kalır; ama he / she / it için sona -s ekleriz:

- he / she / it gördüğünde fiile -s ekle: play → plays, study → studies, go → goes.
- Sık kullanılan işaretler: usually, always, every day, on Sundays, after school.
2. Present Continuous: Şu An (am / is / are + verb-ing)
Tam şu an olan eylemler için Present Continuous kullanırız. Yapı: am / is / are + fiil-ing:

- Cümle iki parçadır: önce be (am/is/are), sonra fiil-ing. İkisi de olmalı.
- Sık kullanılan işaretler: now, right now, at the moment, today.
3. İşaret Kelimeleri (Signal Words)
Hangi zaman? İşaret kelimesine bak. Bu kelimeler sana Simple mi Continuous mu olduğunu söyler:

- usually / every day / on Sundays gördüğünde → Present Simple.
- now / right now / at the moment gördüğünde → Present Continuous.
4. Olumsuz ve Soru (don't / doesn't · Do / Are you...?)
İki zamanın olumsuz ve soru yapısı farklıdır. Simple için don't / doesn't ve Do / Does; Continuous için am not / isn't / aren't ve Am / Is / Are:

- Simple soruda Do / Does kullan: "Does she play?" ("Is she play?" değil.)
- Continuous soruda be başa gelir: "Are you studying?" ("Do you studying?" değil.)
5. Sık Yapılan Hatalar (Common Mistakes)

- Bazı fiiller (want, like, know, need, love) durum fiilidir ve -ing almaz: "I want a coffee." (❌ I am wanting).
6. Birlikte Görelim (Two Friends Chat)
İki genç rutinlerini ve şu an ne yaptıklarını konuşuyor. Koyu yazılan kelimelere dikkat et ve iki kez oku:

- — I usually study for two hours, and then I watch a series.Genelde iki saat ders çalışırım, sonra bir dizi izlerim.

Hi! I am Deniz and I am fifteen years old. I live in a small flat with my family, and I go to a big school near the city centre. On school days I have a busy routine. I usually get up at seven o'clock and I always have breakfast with my family. I don't like cold mornings, but I never skip my breakfast.
My family is small and friendly. I have one brother, and his name is Kaan. My mother and my father work hard, and they are very kind. In the morning I brush my teeth and I wash my face. Then I put on my school uniform and I pack my school bag. My mother makes eggs and bread for breakfast, and I drink a big glass of milk. My brother is often slow in the morning, so I help him. We laugh a lot at the table. I like my mornings when the house is warm and busy.
I go to school by bus, and the journey takes about twenty minutes. After school I study for about two hours, because I want good marks this year. In the evening I often watch a series or listen to music. I don't usually go to bed late on school days, because I need my sleep.
My school is big and I have many friends there. My best friend is Ela, and we sit together in class. I like English and science, but I don't like maths very much. Every day I have five or six lessons. At lunch time I eat a sandwich with my friends in the school garden. We talk about films, music and games. After the last lesson I take the bus home. On the bus I listen to music or I read a short story. My teachers are nice, and they help me when I have a problem.
But right now everything is different because it is Saturday. At the moment I am sitting in the garden and I am writing in my notebook. The sun is warm and the birds are singing. I am not wearing my school uniform today; I am wearing my favourite old jumper.
Today the weather is lovely and the sky is blue. I am not busy at all right now. I am drinking a glass of orange juice, and my cat is sleeping next to me. My phone is on the table, but I am not using it now. A soft wind is moving the leaves in the garden. I feel calm and happy. On school days I never sit like this, because I am always busy. But today I have free time, and I am enjoying every minute.
My brother isn't studying today; he is playing basketball with his friends in the park. My mother usually works on Saturdays, but today she is relaxing at home with a cup of tea. My father is cooking lunch in the kitchen, and it smells really good.
My family is busy with different things this morning. My mother is reading a magazine and she is smiling. My father is listening to the radio while he cooks, and he is singing a little song. My brother is not at home right now; he is at the park with his team. Our neighbour is walking her dog in the street. Everyone is doing something different, but the house feels calm and happy. I love these slow Saturday mornings with my family.
I love my weekdays because they are organised, but I also enjoy weekends because I can rest. Normally I go to bed early; however, tonight I am staying up late to finish a good book about space.
Tonight I have a fun plan too. I usually go to bed early, but today is special. My book is about space, stars and planets, and it is very exciting. Right now I am not reading it, because I am still in the garden. But I want to read it tonight in my bed. I don't want to stop until the last page. I like quiet nights when I can read and think about the stars.
On most weekends I feel free and relaxed. I usually meet my friends on Sunday, and we play games in the park. Sometimes we watch a film at Ela's house. Right now I am alone in the garden, but I am not sad. I am happy with my book, my juice and the warm sun.
So this is my normal week and my special Saturday. I usually study hard, but right now I am relaxing. What do you usually do after school, and what are you doing right now?
