Gelecekteki bir plan ya da niyet hakkında konuşurken be going to kullanırız. Yapısı basittir: am / is / are + going to + yalın fiil. Hangi be biçimini kullanacağın özneye bağlıdır:
- I am going to study tonight.Bu gece ders çalışacağım. (I → am going to)
- She is going to travel next month.Gelecek ay seyahat edecek. (she → is going to)
- They are going to visit us.Bizi ziyaret edecekler. (they → are going to)
- Önce be: I → am, he/she/it → is, you/we/they → are.
- Sonra hep aynı: going to + fiil (yalın hâl: go, study, travel).
1. am / is / are going to (Hangi Özne Hangi Biçim?)
Doğru biçimi seçmek için önce özneye bak. Bu tablo tüm özneleri gösterir; gelecek zaman ifadeleriyle (tonight, next weekend) birlikte kullan:

- be biçimini özneye göre seç: am / is / are.
- "She are going to" ✗ → "She is going to" ✓ (she tekil → is).
2. Olumsuz (not going to)
Olumsuz yapmak için be'den sonra not ekleriz: am not / is not / are not going to. Konuşurken kısa hâli kullanırız:

- not, hep be ile going to arasına girer: is not going to.
- "I don't going to" ✗ → "I 'm not going to" ✓ (don't kullanma).
3. Soru (Are you going to ...?)
Soru sormak için be (am/is/are) özneden önce gelir. Kısa cevaplarda aynı be biçimini kullanırız:

4. Ne Zaman Kullanırız? (Plans & Predictions)
be going to iki durumda kullanılır: (1) önceden yaptığın bir plan / niyet, (2) kanıta bakıp yaptığın bir tahmin:

- Zaman ifadeleri ipucudur: tomorrow, tonight, next weekend, next month.
- "Look!", "Be careful!" → genelde bir tahmin gelir: it's going to fall.
5. Sık Yapılan Hatalar (Common Mistakes)
be going to yaparken be biçimini ya da fiili karıştırmak kolaydır. Bu tabloyu bir kontrol listesi gibi kullan:

- Önce özneye göre be seç (am/is/are), sonra hep going to + yalın fiil. Olumsuzda be'nin yanına not, soruda be başa gelir. going to ile asla do/don't kullanma.

İki genç hafta sonu ve tatil planlarını konuşuyor. Koyu yazılan going to biçimlerine dikkat et ve iki kez oku:

- — I am going to help my parents, and then Aylin is going to visit me.Ailene yardım edeceğim, sonra Aylin beni ziyaret edecek.

Hi! I am Deniz and I am sixteen. Next week our school is going to close for the summer holiday, so my friends and I are going to have a lot of free time. I am really excited because we are going to do many fun things together.
My best friend is Aylin. I have got another good friend, too. His name is Can. We are in the same class at school. We are going to be free for two months. This is very good news for us. We are going to sleep late and play outside every day. We are not going to wake up early for school. My friends and I have got a lot of plans. I am going to write them in my notebook. I love the summer holiday because it is long and fun. Summer is my favourite time of the year.
First, this weekend I am going to help my parents at home. On Saturday morning I am going to clean my room, and in the afternoon my dad and I are going to paint the garage. It isn't going to be easy, but it is going to be useful.
My mum is going to make a list of jobs for me. First, I am going to wash the dishes after breakfast. Then I am going to help my dad in the garden. We are going to plant some flowers and cut the grass. My little brother is going to carry the small boxes. He is only eight, so he is not going to do the hard jobs. In the evening we are going to be tired, but we are going to be happy. My mum is going to cook a big dinner for all of us.
On Sunday my best friend Aylin is going to visit me. We are going to study English for two hours, and then we are going to watch a film. We are also going to make some snacks and revise in the garden. Aylin isn't going to stay for dinner because her family is going to travel to their village.
Aylin is a very good student. She is going to help me with my grammar. I am not very good at grammar, so I am happy about this. After we study, we are going to have a short break. We are going to eat some cake and drink cold lemonade. Then we are going to play a game on my phone. Aylin is going to go home at six o'clock. Her mum is going to pick her up by car. We are going to see each other again next week.
Next month my family is going to go on holiday. We are going to fly to Antalya and stay near the beach for a week. My little brother is going to swim every day, and my mum is going to read her new books. My cousin is going to join us for a few days too. I am going to take a lot of photos and learn to surf. My dad says the hotel is going to be quiet and comfortable.
The beach is going to be my favourite place. Every morning I am going to swim with my little brother. We are going to build big castles in the sand. We are going to collect nice shells on the beach, too. In the afternoon it is going to be very hot, so we are going to rest in the shade. My mum is going to sit under a big umbrella and read. My dad is going to drink tea and take photos of the sea. In the evening we are going to walk near the water. We are going to eat fish and ice cream at a small restaurant. My cousin is going to make us laugh with his funny stories. I am so happy about this trip.
I have got one fun plan for my English. I am not going to study from books on holiday. That is boring in the summer! But I am going to play with a mobile app every day. The app is going to give me new words in a fun way. Aylin and I are going to send short messages and small jokes in English. This is not going to feel like homework. It is going to feel like a game, and games are always fun. In September, my English is going to be better. My teacher is going to be happy, and I am going to be proud.
I am not going to study during the holiday, but I am going to practise my English with a mobile app. Aylin and I are going to write short messages in English every day.
