Hayat koşullarla doludur: "Eğer yarın hava güzel olursa, pikniğe gideriz." We use the First Conditional to talk about a real or possible situation in the future and its result. Yani gelecekte gerçekleşmesi mümkün bir koşul ve o koşul gerçekleşirse ne olacağını anlatır. Bu, hayal değil; gerçekten olabilecek bir şeydir.
Dikkat et: iki bölüm var. Biri koşul (if + Present Simple), diğeri sonuç (will + fiil). Bu bölümde bu yapıyı, virgül kuralını, won't ile olumsuz sonucu ve unless bağlacını adım adım öğreneceğiz.
First Conditional iki cümlecikten oluşur. The if-clause (koşul) uses the Present Simple, and the main clause (sonuç) uses will + base verb. Türkçedeki "-irse ... -ir/-ecek" kalıbına çok benzer.

İki cümleciğin sırasını değiştirebilirsin; anlam aynı kalır. But the punctuation changes. When the if-clause comes first, we put a comma. When the main clause comes first, we do NOT use a comma.

Sonuç bölümünü olumsuz yapmak için will not = won't kullanırız. Koşulu olumsuz yapmak istersen, if-clause içinde don't / doesn't kullanırsın (çünkü orası Present Simple'dır).

unless, "eğer ... -mazsa / -medikçe" demektir. It means the same as if ... not. unless kullandığında, arkasından gelen fiil olumludur — çünkü olumsuzluk zaten "unless" kelimesinin içindedir.

İki koşul cümlesini karıştırmak kolaydır. Zero Conditional her zaman doğru olan gerçekleri anlatır (if + Present, ... Present). First Conditional ise gelecekteki olası bir durumu ve sonucunu anlatır (if + Present, ... will).

Our school is not very big, but it is full of energy. Every year, the students want to do something special together. This year, my class has a great idea. We want to put on a show for the whole school. There will be music, dance, and a short play. Everyone is excited, but a big show needs a good plan. If we plan well, the day will be perfect. If we forget the details, we will have problems. So, we decided to sit down and talk about every step.
Next month, our class will organize a school show, and the whole group has a plan. Selin, the class leader, called a meeting after the lessons on Monday. 'This is important,' she said. 'If we work together, we will finish on time.'
The plan has three steps. First, the art team will prepare the posters and the decorations. If the posters are ready by Friday, the others will start the rehearsals. But if there is a problem with the materials, the rehearsals will not begin, so everybody must be careful and check the details.
Second, Merve will talk to the head teacher. 'If the teacher likes our idea, we will book the hall next week,' she explained. 'Unless she changes her mind, we will start rehearsals in May.'
Third, Ali will manage the money. 'If we spend too much on the decorations, we will not have enough for snacks,' he warned. 'We will only succeed if we save a little on every step. Our budget depends on good planning.'
At the end of the meeting, Selin smiled. 'I know this is hard,' she said. 'But if we stay calm and help each other, we will find a solution for every problem. Unless something goes very wrong, our show will be a great success.' The group felt ready, and everyone went home with a clear goal.
The next day, everybody started to work. My best friend, Deniz, loves music, so she will choose the songs. 'If the songs are happy, the audience will dance,' she said with a smile. Kaan is good at sports, and he will help with the dance moves. 'If we practise every afternoon, we will be ready in time,' he promised. Even our quiet classmate, Ece, wants to help. She draws very well, so she will paint the big background for the stage. Unless she gets more paint, she can't finish the last part, but her brother will bring some on Saturday.
Rehearsals are not always easy. Sometimes people forget their lines, and sometimes we laugh too much. Our teacher, Mr. Demir, always helps us. 'If you practise a little every day, you will remember everything,' he tells us. 'But if you only practise on the last day, you will feel nervous.' He is right. If we are careful and calm, the show will go well. Unless we work as a team, we will not succeed.
After school, everybody practises at home too. I read my lines in front of the mirror every evening. If I say them out loud, I will not forget them on stage. Deniz records the songs on her phone, and she listens to them on the bus. 'If I hear a song ten times, I will know it perfectly,' she laughs. Kaan runs in the park to stay fit, because a dancer needs a lot of energy. Unless we all do our part, the show will not be ready.
Of course, we still have some worries. What will we do if a singer is ill on the big day? Selin has a smart idea. 'If someone can't come, another student will take their place,' she said. 'We will always have a plan B.' Our families want to help too. My mother will make cookies for the break, and Kaan's father will bring extra chairs. If many parents come, the hall will be full and warm.
Ali still watches the budget every day. 'If we sell some tickets, we will have money for the lights and the sound,' he explained. 'But we won't buy new costumes unless we really need them.' We decided to make simple costumes at home. If everyone brings one old shirt or hat, we will have enough for the whole cast. Saving a little money is not boring; it is a small game, and it makes the team stronger.
Now the big day is close, and we feel happy and a little nervous. If the weather is nice, more people will come to watch us. If it rains, we will still have fun inside. 'Unless we give up, this show will be the best day of the year,' Selin always says. We believe her. If we remember one thing, it is this: a good plan and good friends can make any dream come true. So, if you visit our school next month, come to our show — you will not forget it!
