From "what is the SAT?" all the way to your university application — detailed, honest guides for Turkish students preparing for the Digital SAT.
Her bölümdeki ilk modül herkese benzer zorlukta gelir.

The Digital SAT is a standardized test administered by the College Board and taken into account by many universities worldwide during the application process. As the name suggests, it is now fully digital: you no longer sit the test with paper and pencil, but through the College Board's own application, Bluebook. If you are a student applying abroad from Turkey, or one whose target programs ask for an SAT score, getting the logic of this test right from the very start will save you a great deal of time. Don't worry; while the format may look complicated at first glance, its structure is fundamentally very easy to understand.
The Digital SAT consists of two main sections: Reading & Writing and Math. Each section in turn proceeds in two modules. In other words, you work through four modules in total. On the Reading & Writing side, you see short passages, each tied to a single question; it measures skills such as reading comprehension, main idea, evidence identification, vocabulary, sentence structure and punctuation. On the Math side, you find algebra, advanced math, problem solving and data analysis, along with some geometry and trigonometry topics. Throughout the Math section you may use the built-in Desmos calculator; there is also a formula reference provided for you on screen.
The most confusing but actually cleverest aspect of the Digital SAT is that it is module-based adaptive. The first module in each section comes at a similar level of difficulty for everyone. Based on your performance in the first module, the second module directs you to either a harder or an easier set. What does this mean? You must take the first module seriously, because the first module largely determines the level of your second module and therefore the score range you can reach. Working carefully and steadily from start to finish, without panicking, is the golden rule here.
The test is module-based adaptive: in each section, your performance in the first module determines the difficulty of the second module and therefore the score ceiling you can reach. Never treat the first module as a "warm-up."
The test is scored on a 400-1600 scale as the sum of the two sections; each section gives a score between 200 and 800 of its own. One important relief: there is no extra penalty (negative marking) for a wrong answer. So even if you get stuck on a question, marking the most reasonable option is always in your favor rather than leaving it blank. Your score is calculated based on your number of raw correct answers and, because of the adaptive structure, on the difficulty of the modules you worked through. Since which score a particular university considers "sufficient" varies from school to school, the best approach is to research your target school's expectations yourself rather than memorizing a fixed cutoff.
A wrong answer has no negative marking. Don't leave even a question you're unsure about blank — marking the most reasonable option is always in your favor.
Good Digital SAT preparation is built on three pillars:
At this point, making regular use of gringlizce's free Digital SAT study modules and question bank makes it easier to reinforce topics in small steps.
In short, the Digital SAT is not a test of memorization; it is a test of comprehension, logic and consistency. If you internalize its format, track your gaps with data and practice under real conditions, reaching your target score is a completely attainable goal. Don't rush, progress with a plan; we're with you throughout this process.
