Sınav Hakkında

Bu ara sınav, Ünite 1-6'da öğrendiğin her şeyi ölçer: Past Simple (düzensiz fiiller, did/didn't, zaman ifadeleri); Past Continuous (while/when ve Past Simple kontrastı); karşılaştırma ve üstünlük yapıları (as...as, too/enough); be going to ile planlar; will ile tahminler ve anlık kararlar; must / have to / should (mustn't ile don't have to farkı). Speaking hariç dört beceri test edilir. Konular okul, arkadaşlar, tatil ve hobiler etrafında döner. Toplam süre 100 dakikadır ve tek bir sayaçla ilerler — süreyi bölümler arasında kendin yönetirsin.

SINAV KURALLARI

Sayaç 100:00'dan geriye sayar ve sağdaki panelde her zaman görünür. Süre bitince tüm cevapların otomatik toplanır, sınav puanlanır ve girişler kilitlenir.
Sınav başlamadan diğer bölümlere geçemezsin. Başladıktan sonra bölümler arasında serbestçe gezebilirsin.

Text 1 · The Day of the School Show

Last Friday was an important day at Green Valley School: the drama club had their big spring show, and the whole school came to watch. The show started at six o'clock in the evening, but the day did not begin well.

At half past three, Deniz was setting up the lights on the stage when the main lamp suddenly broke. He tried three times to fix it, but it didn't work. While he was looking for a new lamp, his friend Ela wrote the final programme by hand. Mr. Kaya, the music teacher, arrived at four o'clock and found a spare lamp in twenty minutes — the problem was an old cable.

Meanwhile, Ela was practising her song on the piano. At five o'clock, while she was singing, she noticed a mistake in the music sheet: two pages were in the wrong order. She didn't panic. She called Deniz, and they fixed the pages together. They didn't have time for dinner, so they ate some biscuits behind the stage.

At a quarter to six, it started to rain heavily, and many parents waited outside in the rain. Because of the traffic, some families arrived late, so the show began at ten past six, not at six. When the audience finally sat down, everyone was smiling — nobody talked about the difficult afternoon.

The show went perfectly. The audience clapped a lot, and Ela's song was the best moment of the evening. At the end, the head teacher said, "This is the best show in years." After the show, the drama club celebrated with pizza in the school hall, and Mr. Kaya paid for everyone.

Text 2 · A New Club Room for the Students

Green Valley School is growing fast, and the old club room is now too small for all the students. Last month the school looked at two empty rooms: one near the gym and one next to the library. Next September, the school is going to open the new club in the room next to the library. Why?

The room near the gym is bigger and more modern, and it is closer to the playground — only one minute on foot. However, it is also the noisier option, because the gym is very loud during sports lessons. The windows there are not as large as the windows in the library room, so it is darker, too.

The room next to the library is older, but it is quiet enough for reading and studying, and it is big enough for forty students. It has the biggest bookshelf in the school, and the view of the garden is beautiful. The room is not as close to the playground as the gym one — the walk takes four minutes — so the school is going to put a new drinks machine near the door.

Mrs. Demir, the head teacher, thinks the change will be easy. "We are going to paint the walls during the summer holiday," she says. "The art club is going to make new posters, and I'm sure the room will be ready on the first day of school."

She also has a prediction: "Some students will miss the old room at first, but they will love the quiet garden view. Nobody will want to study at home on sunny afternoons!"
