(The 100-minute countdown starts when you click.)
Diğer bölümler kilitlidir; sınav başlayınca açılır.
Suggested time: 25 minutes. (Önerilen süre: 25 dakika.) Ünite 1-19'un tüm gramer konuları — devrik yapılara, koşullara ve anlam tuzaklarına dikkat.
Choose the correct answer. (Doğru cevabı seç.) Seçimini sınav bitene kadar değiştirebilirsin.
Complete the sentences. Use the hint in brackets. (Cümleleri tamamla; parantezdeki ipucunu kullan.) Büyük/küçük harf önemli değildir. Fiil biçimlerine ve kelime sayısına dikkat.

Suggested time: 15 minutes. (Önerilen süre: 15 dakika.) Advanced gap-fill, word formation, transformation and collocation. (İleri boşluk doldurma, kelime türetme, dönüşüm ve eşdizim.)
This section tests your control of vocabulary and structure at C1 level. Each question has four options (A, B, C or D); choose the one that best completes the sentence or matches the meaning. Watch out for word-formation traps, fixed collocations and register.
Choose the correct answer (A, B, C or D). (Doğru cevabı seç.)

Suggested time: 25 minutes. (Önerilen süre: 25 dakika.) İki metin: Text 1 aynı anda birçok iş yapma (multitasking) üzerine, Text 2 şehirlerde doğaya yer açma üzerinedir. (Two texts: doing many things at once, and making room for nature in cities.)
Lots of students are proud of doing their homework while watching videos, chatting to friends and listening to music, all at the same time. They call it multitasking, and they are convinced it saves time. Yet scientists who study the brain say that this is mostly an illusion. What really happens is that the brain jumps quickly from one task to another, and every single jump has a tiny cost.
On its own, a single jump is far too small to notice. The trouble is that these little costs add up. Over an afternoon of homework, they can slow you down and cause silly mistakes that you would never normally make. Interestingly, the students who are most certain that they are brilliant at multitasking are often the ones who do worst when they are actually tested.
Scientists warn that constantly switching between tasks may even make it harder to concentrate for long periods later on. So the next time you feel clever for juggling five things at once, remember that your brain would almost certainly prefer to do one thing well.
Are these sentences true or false? (Bu cümleler doğru mu, yanlış mı?) Dikkat: bazı cümleler mantıklı görünür ama metinde söylenmez.
Choose the correct answer. (Doğru cevabı seç.)
For a long time, the people who planned cities thought of nature as a kind of decoration. Trees and flowers were something you added at the very end, once all the important buildings had been finished. Today, that idea is changing fast. A new way of thinking, often called green infrastructure, says that plants are not just pretty — they are useful, doing jobs that would otherwise need expensive machines.
Trees, for example, are now valued because they can soak up rainwater that would otherwise flood the streets. Rows of plants can cool a city down on very hot days, so people use less electricity for air conditioning. Wetlands, which were once drained and forgotten, are being brought back because they clean dirty water and soften the effect of floods.
Some people warn that these projects are sometimes chosen to look good rather than to do real good, and that nobody remembers to look after them once the excitement has faded. Even so, the big change is hard to argue with. Nature, once seen as the opposite of the city, is now treated as one of its greatest treasures.
Complete the sentences with one word from the text. (Cümleleri metinden bir kelimeyle tamamla.)
Choose the correct answer. (Doğru cevabı seç.)
Suggested time: 35 minutes — Task 1: 13 min, Task 2: 22 min. (Önerilen süre: 35 dakika — Görev 1: 13 dk, Görev 2: 22 dk.) Öğretmenin değerlendirecek; örnek cevap yoktur.
Your family paid for a week at a summer science camp, but it was very different from what the website described. Write a formal email to the camp organisers. Explain what was promised and what actually happened, describe how it made you feel, and state clearly what action you would like them to take.
Some people believe that children should be given homework every single day, while others think young people need much more free time to play, rest and be with their families. Discuss both views and give your own opinion, supporting it with clear reasons and examples.
Suggested time: ~20 minutes. (Watch a short TED-Ed video and answer 20 questions in order.)
Watch the short video below (about how speaking two or more languages changes and strengthens the brain) twice, then answer the 20 multiple-choice questions in order. (Aşağıdaki kısa videoyu — iki veya daha fazla dil konuşmanın beyni nasıl değiştirip güçlendirdiği üzerine — iki kez izle, ardından 20 çoktan seçmeli soruyu sırayla yanıtla.)
